Description
Jumbo activity with 40 words for students to find. Each word is important in the plot of the Hitchcock movie The Thirty-Nine Steps. Some words are character names. Others are locations. And the final words are vocabulary necessary to describe the plot.
I find that students really enjoy word searches. In addition to finding words in the grid, students are asked to use the words to create their own summary of the story. This helps reinforce their knowledge of the film.
This is the type of activity that could be used as a homework assignment or as class work on an occasion when you need a filler, and have nothing prepared.
