What educators are saying

This is a fun way to end a unit on "The Tell-Tale Heart." Resource has questions that model the state test questions.

Description

The following 20-question, 3-page multiple choice document applies what students learn in an English or language arts classroom to The Simpsons' episode "Lisa's Rival" (Season 6, Episode 2). Students can watch the episode and then take this quiz that assesses their understanding of the central plot's and subplot's exposition, initiating event, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, setting, symbolism, central conflict, irony, allusions, point of view, and themes. I screened the work to my students after reading Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" to discuss the episode's allusion to Poe and the character as well as thematic similarities between both works.
