Description

This is a set of study guide questions for "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" by Christopher Marlowe. These can be used as a review activity or as the students read independently. Contains the complete poem, 12 questions, and a key. Focuses on the elements of a pastoral poem.

Used primarily with 10th graders, though all levels of high school students could use it as well.

The questions hit different levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy, allowing the students to reflect upon what they read, as well as let the teacher know whether or not the students comprehend the reading. Includes the answers.

Hits the following Common Core standards:

RL.9-10.1
RL.9-10.3
RL.9-10.4
RL.9-10.5
RL.9-10.6

Questions can also be used as a question bank for making exams or quizzes.

The study guide is in Microsoft Word format, allowing you to easily modify the questions to fit your students’ needs. Also works great if you need to email this assignment to a student.
