Description

This is a fantastic end-of-the-unit activity for The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. With this product, you will be able to hold a classroom Mock Trial that is run by the students, with a student judge, student lawyers, student witness, and student jury. Students will be assigned roles with assignments that correspond to each role, and it's a great activity for differentiation because the roles have different difficulty levels. Teachers will guide students in their preparation for a couple of days before sitting back and watching a mock trial unfold before their eyes.

This packet includes instructions for the entire class, instructions for the teacher, assignments for each role, and guidelines for the mock trial. The design has only a pop of color, so it's perfect for printing in black and white as well. There are a total of 16 pages included, which all have different purpose. Some pages will need to have multiple copies made, while some only are used once.

Mock Trial Grading Rubric sold separately.
