This is it! This bundle is exactly what you've been looking for: a detailed package to teach the New Testament. This has everything you'll need to be able to teach the New Testament without spending 3 hours planning for the next class each night (like I did when I designed this course!).

Instead of being limited to a single lesson plan, you have the option to mix and match these resources. The amount of options available to you here will allow you to quickly formulate a lesson to match the personality of your students, and adapt on the fly if needed. You will have no shortage of options for discussions, activities, or lecture ideas with this resource.

There are a lot of ways to teach the New Testament. How is this material organized?

This course follows the New Testament chronologically, treats the 4 Gospels as a single section of the unit, and spends the final lessons summarizing the events and themes in Acts and Revelation. I've found that this is the method which students find easiest to grasp. The books that are focused upon are:

    1. The Gospels
    2. Acts of the Apostles
    3. The Book of Revelation

The Letters and Epistles are covered very briefly in the Acts of the Apostles PowerPoint, but they are not focused upon in this unit.

Why did you build an entire course on the New Testament? Didn't you have access to textbooks?

I built this class from the ground up after being frustrated that the textbooks I was given when I started teaching were (to say the least) very basic and generally unengaging. To understand the Bible in its entirety, I believe it is necessary to venture into the weeds from time to time, or at least to be prepared to. Hence, the lesson plans and notes in this course are very in-depth. You can choose to explore them in depth, or leave these more complex ideas alone.

What if not all my students are Christian?

Not to worry. I teach at a Catholic school where not all students are Christian. I needed to have a course that could still address the religious students while not ostracizing the non-religious students. This course builds from the ground up: it assumes that nobody has opened the Bible, and so the course doesn't leave non-religious students in the dust.

Because of this, we can also explore some areas of the Bible much more deeply than we could otherwise. By the time we get a week into the course, almost all students report that they are learning things they had never heard of or thought of before--even those who are very religious.

What is the ideal age group for this material?

I have used these resources on the middle school and high school level. I would recommend that you take your time to view the previews of the resources to ensure that it will be suitable for your age group.

    Is this really worth $60?

It's always a bit gaudy to try to answer that question, but the easy answer is, yes. What you are getting is a cohesive path through the New Testament. If you teach this unit for 2-3 months like I do, that comes out to about 1 dollar per lesson. I think that's a fair deal, and saves you hundreds of hours of lesson planning.

But wait! I have a question you didn't answer!

Sadly I am not a mind reader, but I do answer comments and questions that you leave :) Drop me a line if you are still curious about something. I don't want you to make a purchase unless you are 100% comfortable spending your money.

The hope I have is that these resources save you time prepping for class, allowing you to have more free time outside of the classroom, and more energy to spend meaningfully engaging with your students in the classroom.

If you have any questions about the resource before buying it, feel free to drop me a line. I want you to be confident that what you are purchasing will fit your needs!
