Love the learning pit and using it to remind students that sometimes we just have to work through the problems.
Description
The learning pit is an analogy used to help students understand the journey they undertake when trying to learn a new and challenging concept. Faced with the initial challenge, students struggle to learn (jumping into the pit). They are often frustrated and confused. If they keep trying and practicing, they will eventually be successful in their learning (climbing out of the pit). Supports growth mindset teaching!
