Description
Modelled after the CBC's popular television show, this lesson tasks groups of students to champion a great Canadian and lead them to victory through debate.

Terry Fox
Rick Hansen
To guide their research, a list of heroic qualities is provided, along with a research and writing organizer. The organizer is designed for essay writing, but teachers can just as easily have students create 3 point paragraphs with the same purpose.
Having taught lessons using these resources several times, I can assure you that you will have a robust debate on your hands.
