**The Great Gatsby Argument Presentation

Get your students engaged in Argument, without having them write an essay. This resource asks students to ponder the question, “Is The Great Gatsby still relevant today?” and makes them prove it by focusing on one of 12 provided topics present both in the novel and our present society.

Students will work in groups to form a claim to answer that question, and back it up with textual evidence from the novel, and at least two reputable sources. Finally, they must present their argument in a creative and engaging way.

This resource contains notes for the teacher, a two-page project information sheet, a two-page presentation planning organizer (with a detailed example), a rubric, and a topic sign up sheet. I also included a slide for projection that shows reputable news sources.

**The Great Gatsby Party for Class - This helpful resource provides teachers with tips and tricks for throwing a memorable Gatsby party in class.
