"The First Continental Congress" drama begins with various colonial delegates (Peyton Randolph, Henry Middleton, Charles Thomson, and Patrick Henry) meeting at Carpenters' Hall to discuss what to do about the Intolerable Acts of Great Britain and King George III. Scene 2 opens with King George III receiving the colonists' petition.
