What educators are saying

This was a great, no prep activity for my 8th graders. It was self explanatory, well-organized, and can be manipulated to do together or as an independent assignment. I will certainly continue to use this resource in the future.

    George Washington's Presidency

Do your students love debates, booklets, analyzing with primary sources, and more? Engage your students in learning about George Washington's presidency through a variety of activities, including informational text and corresponding note activities, three debate topics, a booklet on the early challenges of his presidency (paper and digital included...Easel by TpT and Google Slides!), a primary source activity analyzing Washington's Farewell Address and a synthesizing writing activity.

Inside this resource you will find:

    1. The First President's Precedents Activity - This activity includes a one-page informational text and corresponding activity in which students will summarize Washington’s most famous precedents.

    2. Meet the Cabinet - This activity includes a one-page informational text and corresponding activity in which students fill out “cards” to summarize the jobs and roles of members of President Washington’s first cabinet.
