Description

Need some engaging activities to hold students accountable for watching the 1996 movie version of The Crucible? You have come to the right place! Students will enjoy these creative viewing guides and tasks, and you'll love the ready-made materials that are print and go or optional digital post and go.

What's included:

Creative viewing guide - 40 questions making it easy to count 2.5 points each. These attractively designed guides are sure to get your students' attention, and they can be printed in color or black & white or assigned digitally with text boxes already inserted. (This guide is for the film only, so students can answer these questions even if they have not read the play.) These questions are also in order of the movie to keep students on task following the film closely. It also includes time stamps on some questions for specific references.

"Thoughts on the Movie" task - students evaluate, analyze, and think about various aspects of the movie. These can be done individually, in partners, small groups, or as a station activity. These can be printed in color or black & white or assigned digitally with text boxes already inserted. (This task is for the film only, so students can answer these questions even if they have not read the play.)

"Who is at Fault?" - This task requires students to evaluate, judge, and defend their ideas on certain characters' roles in John Proctor's death.

Book versus Movie assignment - option to brainstorm 5 or 10 similarities and 6 or 12 differences. (Students must have read the book and watched the film to complete this task.)
