What educators are saying

Perfect sub plan! I love that the questions are directly aligned with what is in the text. Works great for teaching marking the text strategies. Thank you!

Description

This is a five page unit from Reading Through History that highlights Fidel Castro's takeover of Cuba and the failed Bay of Pigs invasion which sought to overthrow him. It contains two one page readings. The first documents Castro's background and the events which surrounded his takeover of Cuba. The second details the events and outcome of the Bay of Pigs invasion. The readings are followed by three pages of student activities which include multiple choice questions, student response essay questions, and a page of vocabulary activities. There is enough material to cover one standard 50 minute class.
