What educators are saying

My students loved watching the movie. They found it very engaging while they used the study guide to follow along. I would recommend this for any classroom use that can manage to fit this into their curriculum.

    Description

These movie guides accompany the Netflix movie The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind from 2019. The first movie guide in this product is the traditional question and answer type to keep students paying attention with 24 questions. The second movie guide has 14 higher order thinking questions that accompany the movie as well as an extended response question sheet that students can complete after the movie. The answer keys are provided.

This movie is based on the true story of William Kamkwamba who, at 13 years old, built a wind turbine and saved his Malawian village from famine. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind is also a book!

This is a fantastic movie to show to students that feel like their dreams can't be attained or to kids that are feeling apathetic about school. It's a great movie to show students interested in engineering, social studies, or other cultures. They will laugh, cry, and finish the movie feeling thankful and motivated.

This product is in PDF form, but the digital copy link is on the credits page.
