Description

Send your students back in time to 1773 by allowing them to perform this skit for the class or the entire school. Teachers will especially love the format of the activity, which encourages students to add content to the skit using factual information.

This skit writing activity is a fun and engaging way to bring creativity and history together for an experience your students will never forget.

"The Boston Tea Party" drama begins with a conversation between one of the Sons of Liberty and an old woman as they stand on the docks discussing what will be done with a shipload of British tea. Scene two has the Sons of Liberty sneaking on to the ship and preparing to throw it overboard as the colonists watch. Your students will enjoy finishing the skit by having the Sons of Liberty discuss what they are going to do. It will be fun to write the kinds of things they said as they threw 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor.

Download this 2-page Microsoft Word document and you can add or delete content to suit your needs.
