This document can be used as a unit outline for teachers or handout notes for students. The outline first details "Who is Mary?" by giving main points of the Annunciation, The Visitation, The Nativity, The Flight into Egypt, The Presentation and The Finding of Jesus in the Temple. Following evidence is given for Mary as a disciple of Christ and Then it gives evidence for the Dogmas and Doctrines of Mary (Theotokos, Perpetual Virginity, Immaculate Conception, Assumption, Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate). Next is the topic of Mary's Spiritual Motherhood and then detailed descriptions of the Marian Devotions of the Rosary (including the history, how to pray it and importance in Spiritual Warfare), Scapular and the Miraculous Medal. The final part of the outline is in regards the main approved Marian Apparitions of Guadalupe, Lourdes and Fatima and includes a few details about why Mary appears and main points about the Church's decision for approval of apparitions.
This is an invaluable resource for anyone teaching about Mary. It could be good for all ages because you can include as little or as much of the outline in your lessons as you wish. It is also a good organized starting point for teachers to use and make their own lessons. So don't bother reading the Catechism and trying to outline it yourself, it's already done for you! This resources has been used in High School and Middle School but is flexible for all grade levels.
