Description

The Battle of Midway WWII Nimitz Yamamoto (Text, Maps & Questions)

Thank you for considering this product. Prepare to be surprised and delighted! This product contains fascinating informational text exploring WWII and the Battle of Midway. This product also has excellent maps (unique and original), quotes and pictures to aid in your students’ ability to learn about this epic battle of WWII. Please check out the thumbnails and preview.

The fully editable product explains the following: the state of the Pacific war in WWII up to 1942 (map included); the Japanese commander, Yamamoto; Yamamoto's battle plan for 1942; the Japanese attack force sent to Midway; the Kido Butai; Admiral Nagumo; the American code-breaking effort; Station HYPO; the American commander, Nimitz; American plans and preparations; Nagumo's dilemma; the American strike; the SBD dive bomber; pilots Best and Kleiss; map of the carrier movements and airstrikes (awesome); the losses and aftermath.

Included are all the documents (Word and pdf) you need to print off for hard copy or deliver in an e-learning format. This product would fit wonderfully into a blended learning plan or a close read lesson. The product is ideal for individual, or small group work. The product is also great for small-group or class discussion. You can also use this product as a supplement to a class lecture.

I have also created two original maps, which I believe are the best available to teach this topic. One map has a diagram of the aircraft carriers used in this battle.

10 great review questions are at the end of the reading and of course answer key is included.

I also have a wonderful PowerPoint that aligns perfectly with this product: click here

If you enjoy this product, please leave a positive comment. Thank you!
