This white paper specifies 4 components to a daily math lesson - Individualized Numeracy Program, Spaced Repetition System (SRS), the Core Lesson and a Problem Solving Session.
It is a process that will academically turnaround any Title 1 elementary school in the United States.
The document is Part 1 of 3. The other two companion white papers to this document - Parts 2 or 3 "Spaced Repetition System (SRS) and Part 3 of 3 "Accelerated Student Math Fact Mastery" are also on this website for download, if interested. Part 2 of 3 and Part 3 of 3 were also designed and written as standalone papers.
The power of this process is its flexibilty. It not only is viable for any adopted core curriculum a district or a school may select, but the methodology works for either Common Core (CC) or Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
These papers are a bit of a read, but it is a conclusion of a process that has taken more than twenty years to develop and makes it possible to academically turnaround any Title 1 elementary school regardless of student demographics.
