Thanksgiving Math Activities for Middle School with Solving Equations

Keep students engaged and learning with these 2 fun Thanksgiving activities! These have been used mostly with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, but they are are also good review for Algebra 1 students.

Here's what's in this pack:

• Solving Equations Practice Worksheet: Students solve equations to learn about world records involving Thanksgiving food. Two versions are included; one-step equations and multi-step equations. Problems involve fractions and decimals.
• Thanksgiving Logic Puzzles: These picture equations are always a hit! Students have to figure out the value of each picture. 6 puzzles are included. These are great discussion starters and will get students thinking algebraically!

Both activities are very low prep! The equation worksheet is print-and-go. The logic puzzles can be printed and cut as task cards, or use the PowerPoint version for no prep!
