Thanksgiving Day Project and Presentation for Adult Students

This is great activity to help ESL students feel comfortable in participating in Thanksgiving activities, encourage them to share their own food choices, and to learn about writing recipes too.

What's Included?

• four components
• planning (students decide which food items to use and how much of each),
• writing (students use an example to write their recipes),
• practicing (students practice speaking at home with given questions), and
• cooking and sharing (students make their recipes and take them to the class to explain and share).
• 3 different writing levels
• images that print well in color or black-and-white

This project was made for adult students who are learning English. Students are to write a recipe and prepare a dish to bring into class to share. The students tell how the dish is prepared and explain if their family would share this at Thanksgiving. It is recommended for advanced beginners, intermediate, and/or higher-level students.

Superb for getting the whole class involved. Enjoy!
