Thanksgiving Activities Parts of Speech Pick-a-Word

Thanksgiving "Pick-a-Words" are a fun literacy activity to use during November/Thanksgiving! These activities are a perfect independent or partner center for grades 2-4. Students get to fill in the blanks (practicing their parts of speech) and then illustrate their Pick-a-Word. If students complete all five of the Pick-a-Words, they can turn it into their very own Thanksgiving Book (cover page included!). Or, you can compile a class book to keep in your library, which students LOVE!

I have included TWO DIFFERENTIATED SETS of the following Pick-a-Words below. The first set in the file is ideal for grades 2-3, which includes verbs, past tense verbs, adjectives, common nouns, and a few special spaces like smell, person, etc...

The second set is a bit more challenging (i.e. prepositional phrases, adverbs, similes, pronouns, nouns, verbs, adjectives) You get both with your purchase so you can even mix and match! :)

Also included in this set are five, fun word activities. These are an extra bonus which are perfect for those few days before Thanksgiving break!
