Description

Dear Teachers,

Thank you for purchasing this activity! It is about one of my favorite new picture books, Testing the Ice. I love this historical narrative text. It falls in the genre of memoir or biography. I hope you and your students enjoy it as well!

Product Info

This packet includes links to some read alouds for your students.

It also contains two activities. One is a text comprehension worksheet. In our remote learning times, you can have students write down their answers on paper and send you a photo of their work. If they can print that page, great. But otherwise, a photo of answers on another page should be fine.

Lastly, there is an opportunity for some creative art. Students can create a 2-D or 3-D representation of the metaphor. A sample is included along with a rubric.
