Description
Are your students worried about standardized testing? Are they a little scared? Anxious? Bummed out? Have no fear! The Smart Family is here! This resource introduces students to some common testing mistakes and gives them tips to overcome! No more testing anxiety!
The Smart Family is super smart but has a horrible time “making the grade” on academic testing due to some common testing mistakes. Your students can learn from the Smart family’s mistakes! Students identify quickly with the members of the Smart family and rapidly begin to apply the testing tips to classroom situations. This product helps your students learn testing tips for academic and standardized testing and perform to the best of their abilities. We need to teach our students HOW to take tests and this testing unit will help you do just that!
It is best to begin teaching this packet at least a couple of weeks before your standardized tests so students can begin to assimilate all the testing strategies. BUT it is NEVER too late OR too early!
This pack includes:
• PowerPoint presentation for instruction
• Color posters for instruction and display in the classroom
• Black and White posters
• Tips for taking tests connected to the Smart family characters
• Common mistakes students make on tests connected to the Smart family characters
• Editable parent letter with testing tips
