2.OA.3.4 ~ Use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends.

3.OA.1.3 ~ Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.

Activity
1. Teach or show your child how to make solve problems that involve equal shares.
e.g., There are 15 baseballs in 5 duffel bags. How many baseballs are in each bag?

2. Have your student or child complete the exit slip.

3. Assess how well he or she did using the answer key (provided).
Common Error: If there are any missed questions your student or child may not understand how to solve world problems involving equal shares. Show him or her to draw a picture to help them solve these types of problems.

Reteach: Have him or her correct any missed questions and use the student work space sheet to explain how they came up with the correct answer.
