Description

Perfect practice for number sense and subitizing, this ten frame pack contains three styles of ten frames – for Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day and St. Patrick's Day. These will be perfect to display on your math word wall and use in math centers for the months of February and March!

Included:
Large Cards for 0-20, featuring the numeral, number word and ten frame. Use these for whole group lessons or displaying in the classroom on your Math Wall. A set for each of the 3 holidays - Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day and St. Patrick's Day - is included.

Small cards (print 4 to a page) for numbers 0-20, that feature a ten frame on one card and a matching card with both the numeral and number word. Use these for small group lessons or as an independent math center - differentiate by having students match the number cards to the ten frames cards, or arrange the cards in numerical order or even use them for addition! A set for each of the 3 holidays - Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day and St. Patrick's Day - is included.

4 Recording sheets for each set:
The first set of recording sheets is for numbers 1-10, one has the ten frames arranged in numerical order. The other is in random order for more of a challenge. The second set of recording sheets is for numbers 11-20. It has both the numerical order and random order sheets as well.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
