Students will learn the simple, but POWERFUL tool of hypertext which enables them to create website-like links on their Google Docs. This is a precursor to website development as it teaches students the terminology and methodology of creating hyperlinks! In 'All About Me' fashion, students will answer 15 questions about themselves while creating a short word or phrase with a website link assigned to it which will open a web page directly to their answer!

*There are 5 search engine options (according to grade level) to select from so your students will be able to research and browse the internet safely!

Feel free to add or tweak the lesson to fit subject-specific especially if you want students to create a list of citations for a project! Directions and tutorials will work with almost any resource that you have as well!

The step-by-step directions makes this lesson any teacher's dream because all you have to do is simply post the tutorial file on your class website or Google Classroom and that's it! Directions, guides, and instructions with screen-shots will not only assign the work and expectations, but it will actually teach them EXACTLY how to complete the assignment!

This lesson is the first of 3 hyperlink assignments. Check back for the next 2!

It makes a fun standalone lesson or a great introduction to the powerful use of hyperlinks!
