Description
Mauna Kea is in the news a lot today, so I thought that people might enjoy learning a little about the mountain from a Hawaiian cultural perspective.
This teacher resource document provides some suggestions on using traditional stories of Mauna Kea to teach in a variety of STEM areas. The information can be applied to any teaching using cultural stories. I've even included a quick tip on decolonizing language in our stories. It also provides links to other resources, and a bibliography.
After you check it out, please leave a review. And, if you have any suggestions on how to make it more useful, I'd love to hear about them!
