Description

This packet has everything you'll need to introduce action verbs to your students and is perfect for beginners. Parts of speech can be a tricky concept to teach to your students, so let me help! This packet was made to teach action verbs in a creative way---with original action heroes Verb and Verbette. These cool heroes were made by me and you will only find them in this packet.   • Mini Action Verb Posters for students to put in their journals
  • Action Verb Word Hunt (Read the Room) students will search the classroom for action words and record them on their worksheet

  • Action Verb Board Game students will identify action verbs while playing a board game with their peers
  • My Actions All Week Booklet in this book students will write about the different actions they do on each day of the week (for example: On Mondays I jump on the trampoline.)
  • Fraction Flash Cards these flash cards are shaped like "POW" circles and are perfect to get your students moving
  • Shades of Meaning with Action Verbs includes the visuals needed to make an anchor chart, a practice page for students to follow along while you make the chart, and all the word sets included are perfect for students to act out (like Charades)
  • Action Verb Synonym Practice
  • Create-a-Hero Activity students will play a game with a partner to make their own action hero
  • Class Activity you will display the provided action verbs on your overhead projector or tablet and students will act out the action verb shown (this is a great brain break activity to get the wiggles out)
