What educators are saying

My students loved "traveling" as they learned about monuments, symbols, and documents that represent the United States!
This is so cute and fun. It was a little below the grade level my daughter is in but she didn’t care, she loves the project and result! Such a cute keepsake! This would also be great on a road trip.

Description

Symbols of the United States

Take your students on a virtual field trip with this interactive symbols of the U.S. text. This "scrapbook" is loaded with informational text about seven major national symbols. Each page has an interactive element that students will find fun and engaging. There are also three easy to make pocket pages to make the book more unique than most texts students read. (Which makes it super cool!!) A map is included for students to label. This would be a great unit for close reading activities as well!

**There are TWO levels of text included in this unit. Choose which is best for your students. ** These are easy print and copy books that you can feed through your copier easily. The interactive pieces can be passed out and created as you go.

Check out the preview for a glimpse of the pages. It is so cool!

This unit also includes printable wall posters with actual photographs of each of the seven symbols. (Plus a bonus poster of the Lincoln Memorial)

Finally, there are some text-dependent writing prompts and a Statue of Liberty labeling page that you can include in your books if you want. My students LOVED this unit and I am sure your kiddos will too!
