Description

Summer snap cubes templates are the perfect themed math center for your kindergarten classroom. They are great for tactile learners as morning work, for early finishers, or a math center. Students create a picture and can then count how many snap cubes are used in the picture.

Includes 10 different puzzles (crab, bucket, shell, palm tree, watermelon, jellyfish, starfish, sunglasses, beachball).

Different versions to allow for differentiation:

  • Large mats that are to scale for students to build on and trace the word.
  • Large counting cube mats for students to match and count how many of each color,
  • Black and white with no lines/ templates to challenge students to find their own
  • Small easy to store cards that students will have to scale to size.

Also includes a recording sheet that is a great way to incorporate literacy where students label a picture.

Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size.
Compose simple shapes to form larger shapes. For example, “Can you join these two triangles with full sides touching to make a rectangle?”
