What educators are saying

I used this as a review at the beginning of 2nd grade and to teach into using the Daily Math as morning work. Loved it!
I teach summer camp at my school and this was perfect for tying in a little academic work during the camp. The students were engaged and looked forward to their "math journal time". Thanks for a great resource!

Description

Here’s a Summer Math spiral review packet that your first graders will want to do every day of the summer. This summer packet is just plain fun. Not only is it PACKED with first-grade common core math problems and basic facts fluency pages, it also gives kids HOURS of coloring fun and doodling.

Help your kids avoid the summer slide. Take a look at the preview for sample pages. I think you'll see that the summer themes and review questions match the spirit of summer fun and don't look like boring math work!

(Click ⭐here for other grade levels) or use this Summer Math Packet at the beginning of the school year for incoming 2nd Graders.

FEATURES:

★ Longer than my monthly Daily Math -- this one is 30 days -- just enough for a good review, but not overwhelming for the summer.

★ Packed with 1st grade common core math problems for review and practice.

★ A “tracking” page - as they complete each day, students will color a step along the path to 2nd grade.

★ NEW FEATURE: Ten “Fast Facts” one-minute fluency tests - let’s face it: we’d be happy if our students just knew and retained their facts! These follow the 1st grade common core guidelines and test fluency with addition and subtraction through 10.

★ A different theme each DAY - sample themes include: Beach Time, In the Tree House, Play Ball, Sand Castles….and many more summer themes. Themes keep the content interesting and authentic.

★ An ANSWER KEY for each day.

★ And, lots of doodling fun. I’ve intentionally designed this summer packet with lots of pictures and page borders to color. REQUIRED: a set of colored pencils or crayons!
