Summarizing Practice with "Money" Summaries
This lesson focuses on teaching students to write one-sentence summaries. Each word costs ten cents ("a," "an," and "the" are free) and students have $2 (or an amount of your choosing) to write their summaries.
Includes:
*The rules about words & money
*Four practice passages, ideal for use with gradual release
*List of Common Core aligned standards
