Description
This 10 page mini booklet will complement your unit study on basic BEGINNING subtraction skills and subtraction story problems! Your students will gain practice with a variety of subtraction strategies such as "hopping back" on the number line, 10 frame cross out, draw a picture, number bonds, and write an equation. These story problems engage students by using characters and names they are familiar with--like problems with a Groovy Cat who has lost some buttons, a big red dog who buries some bones, a Little Mermaid who has dropped her magical shells, and a Scaredy Squirrel who spots killer bees. ;)
A page-sized poster of Linus the Minus Guy is also included!
