Substitute Teacher Social Story

Students with Autism typically have difficulty with change, especially when that change is unexpected. Prepping them for change beforehand helps students deal with what can be a very stressful situation for them. This social story can be used to prepare your students for what to expect when they have a substitute teacher. I read this to my students at the beginning of the year and we talk about what will happen when I am absent. I also include this in my emergency sub plans for the substitute to read with my students.
