What educators are saying

My students truly enjoyed writing their names as well as other messages in Braille. Following a unit study on Helen Keller, these worksheets served as a great follow up to help reinforce concepts taught!

Description

This product is a great activity to go with any unit on Braille or disabilities. All you need is a copy of the Braille alphabet, some glue, and some little round gems from your local craft store. This product includes a template for a teacher model, as well as templates for students with 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 letters in their first names. The red text tells you where to type the names of your students. This is always a hit with my students. Upon completion, they love to close their eyes and see how their names "feel." It allows them to truly understand what it feels like for people with blindness.
