Description

STUDENT DATA BINDERS - KID-FRIENDLY TRACKING SHEETS FOR K-1

When students, even young students, have the opportunity to reflect on their learning, be an active participant in graphing their own data, and set goals with timelines, it can be very powerful and result in increased academic gains.

Data collection is usually the teacher's responsibility and can be confusing and mysterious to children. So much of data collection is in fact the teacher's job, but this packet includes simple graphs primary children can use on their own with minimal teacher support.

This download is full of resources for you to use as your children begin reflecting on their strengths, setting specific goals, and tracking their own growth on simple graphs that are motivating and age-appropriate.

THE CONTENTS INCLUDE:

• Cover Options for Student Data Notebooks

• Graphs for:

  • 2D Shape Recognition (Two Options & a Blank Template)
  • 3D Shape Recognition (Transparent & Real Life Options)
  • Number Recognition (1-19 and 20-39)
  • Letter Identification (Uppercase and Lowercase)
  • Letter Sounds
  • Rhyming (Recognition and Production)
  • Sound Segmentation
  • Beginning, Middle, and Ending Sounds
  • Counting Syllables in Words
  • Nonsense Word Reading
  • Word Reading
  • Super Sounds (Sounds made with two-letter combinations)
  • Fluency Rates
  • Math Facts

• A Variety of Goal-Setting Sheets

• Self-Reflection Sheets

• Awards for Meeting Goals

The graphs cover skills for phonics, phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, reading, and math. Different versions are included depending on the number of facts your children receive or the number of minutes you give them to complete them or the specific words you're working, etc.

The materials in this packet are a great communication tool between you, your students, and their parents... they're also great to share during your parent-teacher conferences or during student-led conferences... it's very empowering for the children!

NOTE: This resource is not digitally editable, however blank graphing templates have been included for written personalization if needed.
