This creative writing tool is the perfect solution for reluctant writers. Students can roll between 1-7 cubes to select elements for writing fiction stories. Each cube will spark different creative ideas as a writing prompt. Roll as a class, or let students roll individually and see what great tales they come up with!

Once they’ve rolled, they can record their selections on the provided template, then start writing their imaginative stories.

Use the pictures to create your own interpretation of what you’ll write about. For example, rolling an alligator as the problem, students may choose to write about an alligator loose from the zoo, ANY animal causing a problem in the story, or even a story where an alligator HAS a problem. The cubes can be used as suggestions and don’t have to be followed exactly. The goal is just to spark their imaginations!
