Description

In this packet you will find fun and interactive activities to help your students continue to develop their reading comprehension skills by constructing meaning through 7 basic story elements:characters, setting, plot, problem, solution, resolution, and author’s purpose.

What’s Included:

List of Mentor Texts to teach each story element.

Anchor Charts (color and bw) for each element.

Story Elements Sticks and Soup Can Label- just print, laminate, and cut. Then, glue a tongue depressor to the back. For the label, just print, laminate, cut, and glue to a soup can to store your sticks. You can use these during your read-aloud time to ask and answer important questions about your reading. You can also have students come up and pick a question to ask the class.
