Description

You are going to LOVE this creativity challenge for your students of any age. Students will work collaboratively to build a snowman in 4 progressive stages from model magic clay (any air drying clay will work) with googly eyes, and toothpicks.

After the clay is dry, they will create an illusion using stop motion animation where the snowman is pulled up, pushed down, grow, shrink, emerge, disappear, built, melt, or any other creative storytelling choice the students desire to tell a story.

The movie is three seconds long (30 frames at 10 frames per second) and can be created in one class period using the iMotion app (free). The work can be saved as movie, still images, or a gif.

When you download the PDF, be sure to scan or click the link in the document to go to the online version of the presentation where you can experience the live links, movies, and animated examples.
