Description

If you have standards based report cards or are held accountable for progress monitoring your students using standards based assessments, you NEED this product!! I created this resource to help teachers in grades 3-5 to capture multiple pieces of evidence for each of the reading literature and reading informational text standards using any text of their choice.

This zip folder has MS office word, excel, and pdf docs. Please be sure that your computer has MS office before purchasing!

Here are the components:

  • Start Here File (pdf)- gives helpful suggestions for using this product to assess students, track data, and create dynamic literacy groupings
  • Running Record (MS Word and pdf)- generic form that allows you to capture a 100 word sample of text and evaluate the student's accuracy, rate, miscues, and overall fluency
  • Comprehension Check (MS Word and pdf)- open ended standards based questions with space to record student responses:
    • One set for fifth grade, fourth grade, and third grade.
    • Each set has 8-10 comprehension questions that directly correlate with CCLS learning standards for literature and informational text at each grade level.
    • The MS word doc is editable to customize for your own purposes. The pdf is locked to prevent issues with formatting that could occur if using a different program or version of MS office.

  • MS Excel Spreadsheet- Track student data using the spreadsheet.
    • Sort student data to create dynamic, flexible groupings aimed at making the best possible instructional decisions for your students.
