St. Patrick's Day Centers: Math, Literacy, and Art Activities

This Packet provides teachers with 6 St. Patrick’s Day-themed content centers. The addressed areas include Math, Writing, Poetry, Word Study, and Art. (**Part of a bundle, see below)

Center Activities:

Math: Lucky Charms Graphing **Requires preparation**
Using individual Lucky Charms, students will answer questions and create a bar graph. The graphing activity asks students to estimate, sort, count, and combine their cereal pieces.

Writing: Included in this packet are 2 writing prompts. Each are themed with St. Patrick’s Day.

Acrostic Poetry: Included in this packet are 2 Acrostic Poem outlines with the words RAINBOW and LEPRACHAUN.

Word Study: ABC Order & Story (Answer Key at the end of this packet)
Students will put ten St. Patrick’s Day words into ABC order and use the words to write a story.

Word Study: Building Words
Students are asked to cut out the letters in the words “St. Patrick’s Day” and build as many words as they can.

Art Activity: Pot of Gold at the end of a rainbow
Students will follow steps to make their own pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
