What educators are saying

My students loved this and it was a great activity for early finishers too. My AC 5th grade math students loved the challenge of the 6th grade versions too!
Used on days after state testing - my students enjoyed the relaxing activity and they were still practicing important skills. Thank you!

    Description

This math activity provides students with practice graphing on the coordinate plane (all four quadrants OR just quadrant 1). It's great for "early finishers" or can be used as an extra credit assignment. Perfect for Spring or Summer Breaks! This, along with my other coordinate graphs provide a great opportunity for a festive rotating bulletin board in your math classroom.

    The following graphs are included:

These activities provide students with practice graphing in all four quadrants on the coordinate plane. Coordinates include positive & negative, whole & half numbers (example 6, -2.5). Please note: There are a lot of coordinates that include 0.5!

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Use a pair of perpendicular number lines, called axes, to define a coordinate system, with the intersection of the lines (the origin) arranged to coincide with the 0 on each line and a given point in the plane located by using an ordered pair of numbers, called its coordinates. Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., 𝘹-axis and 𝘹-coordinate, 𝘺-axis and 𝘺-coordinate).
Understand a rational number as a point on the number line. Extend number line diagrams and coordinate axes familiar from previous grades to represent points on the line and in the plane with negative number coordinates.
Find and position integers and other rational numbers on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram; find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
