Spring Activities: Dress a Duck (First Day of Spring Writing Craft)

Your students will enjoy this fun spring craft! They will choose different rain gear items (umbrella, boots and raincoat) to dress a duck for a rainy day! They will color, cut and paste the chosen items (there are two of each item to choose from) onto a duck’s body and will then complete a writing page to go along with it. There are two writing options to choose from:

• My Rainy Day Duck – students describe their duck
• It’s Spring – students write about springtime

The duck and writing page can be mounted on construction paper and displayed in the classroom.
