Speech Handling Strategy: Pull-out

This video discusses the advantages of the pull-out strategy and demonstrates how to help student who stutter learn and use the strategy to help decrease struggle, tension and avoidance during moments of stuttering.
This technique is also discussed in-depth in Chapter 6 of our clinical manual entitled, School Age Stuttering Therapy: A Practical Guide. It is also outlined as a handout (for parents, students and others) in our appendix of "Summary Sheets" at the end of the book.
