Description

Similar to Solving Systems Flowchart, but this is a two-pager that leads students through a set of questions to answer for either leg lengths or angle measures of 45-45-90 right triangles or 30-60-90 right triangles.

There are a few paths that lead to a "trigonometry" box that teacher can go to at his/her discretion. There will be a trig flow chart to follow, eventually.

So far, my students have thought this pretty handy. It's made my job easier too, because when they raise their hand and ask me for help, one of two things happens:
1 - I go to the student and point to their flowchart and lead them without saying a word (unless they have a deeper question), or

2 - Neighboring student leans over and helps - this is AWEsome, by the way

Happy Triangle-ing!

PS - The page with the star: Do you know the measure of any of the acute angles" is the start. The arrow from there that leads off the page, connects to the other page of this document.

Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.
Explain and use the relationship between the sine and cosine of complementary angles.
Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems.
