Description

I've compiled all SEVEN of my favorite Spanish class skits into one file for you to purchase. You will get 26 PAGES of never-ending FUN and CREATIVITY for your students!!!!

Buy this packet and receive:

1) Hansel and Gretel

2) Jack and the Beanstalk

3) Little Red Riding Hood

4) The Three Bears

5) The Three Little Pigs

6) Chicken Little

7) The Billy Goats Gruff

8) One Rubric (which can be applied to all)

You would pay individually for each of these, so I thought you'd like to save a few bucks by buying them all together in one packet...

Some of them are fairly "loose" renditions of the actual tales. I've found it fun over the years to take some artistic license with the stories and incorporate some goofiness into the skits. Feel free to add your own local flavor (i.e., names of towns, local celebrities, etc.) The students really eat that up!

One thing I love to do is create a class competition. Each group gets to be as unique and as creative as possible. On the board, we brainstorm different ways groups could perform their skit to the class. This really hits on the multiple intelligences of learning!! In the past, students have chosen to create a puppet show (and some have been QUITE elaborate!!), make a video, perform the story live, do a "radio" broadcast, make the story into a music video, etc. They can be very creative if you let them go the distance!

I tell them that the class will be VOTING on the best presentation after all have performed. I give each student a ballot, and have them write their name and group number on the ballot. This way they "cannot vote for their own group." The members of the winning team get a coupon for 10 Extra Credit Points (for example) that they can use on an assignment, test or quiz. It always surprises me how they really fight for the big prize!

As for grading, I use a rubric. I've attached an example on the last page of this packet. You can adjust it to work with any of the skits, make your own point-system, and change the categories. The one attached has worked well for me.

Have fun, er, "Break a Leg!"
