Spanish Beginner Reader cards

As a bilingual elementary educator, I am always looking for ways to enhance my students' experiences in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. These simple cards can be used to match the sentences with the pictures.

They can also be used as an extension with oral language practice. My students love to play, "Yo veo..". One student says a clue about an animal, for example, "Yo veo un animal rosado y gordo." The other student has to guess which animal they are talking about by finding the card.

These cards would also work well for a secondary Spanish class. I have used these cards in Spanish guided reading time, as well as with the facts about animal page (also posted!) to do a thematic unit on the farm.
