SPACE TECHNOLOGY WEBQUEST: NASA & THE SPACE RACE

This purchase is for a webquest that uses two specific websites (links and QR codes provided). The first website is a timeline that covers major events in the history of the Space Race over a fifty year period (key moments are: Sputnik, Apollo Missions, space shuttles, famous astronauts, deep space probes, and more!). The second website has information relating to animals that have been sent into space for various testing (dogs, cats, insects, monkeys, etc...).
This assignment is two pages (front back) and will easily take an hour+ for students to complete. It's great as an online activity for any space and planets unit or as a precursor to a larger project or report. Also works well in LA classes for online informational reading.
The webquest is 40 total questions and will work great in school in the computer lab or with 1-1 technology, as homework, or as extra credit. It's a perfect addition to any science unit on space (astronomy / engineering / STEM), informational reading article (LA), or in history class as the dates and timeline are perfect to reflect on human achievement from 1950-Present.
