Songs for the Year

Using songs in the classroom is a way to build classroom community while learning. This packet includes 37 original songs to use in your classroom throughout the school year. You will find general welcoming songs to start each day as well as themed and seasonal songs.

What does this product include?

I have included some "general songs" that are perfect for welcoming your students to school each day, as well as theme or seasonal related songs to use throughout the school year. All of the songs come in both a color and a black & white version. The color versions are perfect for displaying in your classroom in small group or whole group. I personally like to use these in the morning for our Morning Meeting time. The black & white version is perfect for creating a Song Folder for your students. They may highlight phonics skills, sight words, etc., and then practice singing them over, and over to work on fluency.

Who is this product geared towards?

This particular packet is geared towards primary classrooms. Students in grades K-2 would enjoy these songs.

How can I use this product in my classroom?

Begin each morning with a welcoming song from this packet. It is a wonderful way to get students ready for the day. Use the themed and seasonal songs to integrate science and social studies into your school day. Create a song folder for your students to help them work on fluency skills.

*Please be aware that these songs have been written to be sung to familiar kid's songs. Sheet music is not included. Audio versions of the songs are also not included in this packet.
