Teacher math can be difficult for even the most seasoned teacher, but help is on the way. Using DOK level strategies from levels 1-4, your students can become a wiz at solving word problems. My students have become proficient in determining:

Identifying what operations will be needed to solve the problem.

Using these simple strategies, my students have been able to solve problems while mastering procedural knowledge learned during direct teaching sessions.
