Some great activities are included for students to use. Love that the students get to be so creative!
I use this for morning work on Fridays and my students love it! I also have the original creativity challenges. My students love coming up with creative ideas and sharing with the class. At the end of the year, I plan on making books out of all the students' creations. Awesome!

Description

Need some quick, no prep, snowflake challenges to get your students thinking outside the box?!

Unlock creativity in your classroom this winter with this perfect companion to Snowflake Bentley.

Winter creativity challenges are great for engaging students during morning work, early finishers, or adding some creative thinking tasks to your winter classroom activities! They can be used for winter centers, brain breaks, and more!

Includes:

  • 8 Winter Finish the Picture Creativity Challenges
  • Design a Snowflake Creativity Challenge (3 versions for differentiation)

The goal of creativity challenges is to help students think in different ways.

The ability to generate unique thoughts and ideas is known as divergent thinking. When students are thinking outside the box it results in creative solutions.

In a creativity challenge, students are presented with a problem that they have to solve using their creativity. Typically these challenges are short lasting anywhere from 3-10 minutes. By implementing these challenges regularly students can exercise their creative muscles.

Creativity challenges can be used as a quick warm-up before a STEM challenge to help jumpstart students’ creativity. They can also be used for morning work, brain breaks, and at various other times throughout the school day.
